With her best friend Dola;
One loves Dosa,
The other loves Hilsa;
Both are fond of Masalaa!

Hilsa is a fish,
Bengal's famous dish;
Art and culture,
Song and sculpture,
Bengalis nourish.

Durga, Kali, Netaji,
Ram Mohan Rajaji,
Vidya Sagar,
Rabin Tagore,
Dot our Nation's history.

Raadhaa watches a sparrow,
In its hurry and harrow;
Fetching twigs,
Tiny sticks;
As if there is no tomorrow!

Raadha wants to be a Doctor,
Or at least an Actor;
One loves pain,
The other loves screen;
They have no common factor!

Raadhaa likes to drink Tea
With lots and lots of cheeni;
Sugar looks bright,
Its crystals so white;
But it won't make her a sweetie!

Raadhaa owns a puppy,
His name is: 'Soupy';
He looks soulful,
But eats bellyful;
His eyes are always droopy!

Raadhaa sees a fly
Land on her thigh,
Tickle her skin
With legs so thin;
She can’t guess why!

Raadhaa watches a mosquito,
Landing on her big toe;
Soft as a noodle,
Poking its needle,
Sucking her blood; Oh! Ho! Ho!

Raadhaa watches a lizard,
Crawling on her cupboard,
Pouncing on its prey,
Be it a flea or fly;
With the wile and guile of a wizard!
