I was following the Red Triangle very closely during seventies. Our school at Varanasi was 8 Kms away from home so we used to travel by rickshaw to school. The rickshaw puller was like a family member and he used to call himself `Narayan Das Kavi'.

He was a man of wisdom and taught us many things during the journey.

I distinctly remember the Parivar Niyojan slogans from early seventies to late seventies as we used to mug the couplets.

The first one I remember is:

1. "do ya teen bachche,
     hote hain ghar me achchhe."

(may be the triangle means three and the red is stopping sign, so `Stop after three!')

Next the couplet was changed to

2. "hum do,
     hamare do"

 It was talking about two.

Following this came

3. "doosra bachcha kab?
    pahela school jaye tab."

Now it is about the gap between the two.

The last one I remember was taking about one child and that too not immediately  after the marriage.

4. "pahela bachcha abhi nahin,
     doosra bachcha kabhi nahin."

It had to stop here.
