My Dear Uncle
ReplyDeleteWe are glad to see you back – penning your witty observations and pithy writings.
We follow your blog regularly and were experiencing withdrawal symptoms during the past three months!
I enjoyed your recent posts on the use (or misuse) of the English language – some of my “university” students keep me in stitches with their writings – with substitutions like “threw out” for “throughout” and the like.
Thanks!
Shyamala
Dear Shyamala:
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your kind comment. Hope you are all fine. We are fine.
My mother's death seems to be a watershed in my life. I feel exhausted and pass my time sitting quietly and gathering wool. I am also not reading anything worthwhile other than DC and ToI. Yet, I am at peace at long last.
Looking forward to your mom's promised visit to Hyderabad.
Best!
