Lucknow, Feb. 3

The mystery of UP minister Mohd Azam Khan's missing buffaloes has finally been solved and the seven buffaloes have been traced and brought back. Three cops, who were on patrol duty when the theft took place, have been removed for 'dereliction of duty' in Rampur. The buffaloes were stolen from the minister's "well-protected" farmhouse late on Friday night after the alleged robbers had cut open thick iron chains to take away the animals. The entire district administration had been on tenterhooks as the police launched one of the biggest operations to track down the buffaloes. Led by the SP, Sadhna Goswami, cops across the district spread out in a massive buffalo hunt, combed fields and took sniffer dogs along to track down the animals. Mr Khan reportedly had CCTV footage of slaughter houses scanned.
