"Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. But anger is like fire. It burns it all clean."
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
There is a subtle difference between bitterness and anger, like between envy and jealousy.
Bitterness is suicidal and anger homicidal.
King Dasarath must have been very bitter with his Queen Kaikeyi while her son Bharat was angry with her.
Karna may have been bitter with Kunti when she revealed her dark secret. While Draupadi was the angriest of all women who ever lived when they tried to disrobe her.
Yesterday I was, for once, watching the so-called Prime Time Debate on Times Now.
In its first episode the Congress chap looked and acted bitter about their election loss. But the preachy CPI chap got damn angry when it was pointed out that his party got only a single seat in Lok Sabha in the recent elections...he countered that once BJP too got a mere 2 seats...what a comparison! It is like the earthworm of Muthukur comparing himself with the serpent in the Garden of Eden.
In the next episode, on the kidnapping of our Indian citizen by the Taliban in Af-Pak, our Indian host was bitter while our 3 Pakistani guests acted angry as hell.
One is bitter when one reminds himself of his failures while the same guy gets angry when someone else does it.
Pakistan was bitter when they were vivisected in 1971.
And they are now angry that the Gandhis who did it to them lost their election to Modiji.
Can anyone please help them (except our left-liberal intellectuals boasting about their secularism)?

There is an element of helplessness in being bitter and frustration in getting angry.
