Carpentry

==========================================================================

Two and half years ago, my son and I booked an apartment in Nile Valley right here in Hyderabad.

That was supposed to be a Gated Community.

When we booked, there wasn't even a Gate...it was all boulders on a hill. There
was a Model House and a couple of salesmen with hand fans and no customers. We were the early birds. This type of risk is typical of me.

Within a month there was this Recession and a worldwide crash of everything including Real Estate. We thought our hard-earned lifetime savings have gone down the blackest of black holes.

But things picked up soon enough for the Indian Knowledge Economy and there was this spurt in demand for housing again.

And there was an unexpected call from the Builders that our Apartment is ready and it now costs for new customers almost double of what we had paid...

Yesterday we went over and took 'possession' of the 3-bedroom 3-bathroom dream home (for our hazy dreams).

And today the carpenter came down for the interior wood-work like shelves, almirahs, kitchen modules, attic racks, in short the 'interiors'.

I have had many exasperating encounters with carpenters and I firmly believe Carpentry is voodoo-science.

But, for the moment this clip will do:
