Negative Better than Positive

Ishani is busy mugging up for her final exams:

...."Coal is found in Singareni"...

And then there was this guest yesterday...a colleague of my son. 

And I fled to the kitchen balcony chair to avoid wearing that 

ghastly nose-mask.

After a while Ishani arrived to look me up:

"What are you doing here, thatha?"

"Woolgathering"

"What does it mean?"

"Try and tell me"

"Gathering wool from sheep?"

"That would be two words...fusing them into one word makes it a totally different idiom"

"How?"

"It means thinking whatever comes to my mind...past, present, future, jokes, 

pigeons, dogs, sun, clouds, rainbows, idlis...whatever"

"Oh!"

"Haven't you heard this word before"

"No"

"But this is the title of the first Ishani Booklet"

"Let me fetch it and see"

......

"Open the first page and read the first line of the first piece"

"..'Woolgathering is the precise opposite of meditation'..."

...Glow lighting up the worried face....

Back to mugging again...

..."Coal is found in Singareni"...

Poor soul....
