Happy DP!
This year we didn't stir out of home during Puja, unlike the past two years, to visit the far-off Bengali Puja Pandals here.
Sonoo got too busy transitioning his charge to his colleagues before he leaves his old organization. He is leaving for new pastures (in Hyderabad itself) on Oct 27.
Last night all of us went downstairs to our Community Space to witness what the majority North Indians here called 'Dandia and Garba'....of Modiland rather than dhaks and aarti.
It was fun to watch well-fed ladies in their unaccustomed saris gyrating round and round to beats and trying to hit each others' sticks for reasons best known to them.
And eat exotic stuff like pasta and pizza (from specially erected stalls) instead of loochis and alu'r dum and mochar chop.
Ishani enjoyed the most as usual. Sonoo got busy talking to his friends and Sailaja to hers.
And I as usual sat alone gathering wool for all of 2 hours.
These days I am sleeping like a log and re-posting when I am not.
